Regional City Updates

A group of Anaheim renters intend to circulate a ballot measure for rent control that will be on the November ballot if it qualifies. An estimated 20,000 signatures need to be collected, which is a tall order in such a tight timeframe. The 68-page rent control and mobile home park closure ordinance is one of the worst we have seen. It includes limiting rent increases to CPI or 3%, regulates park closures so they could never close, and has total vacancy control. The city attorney has prepared the title and summary that will appear on the ballot. It is attached along with the complete proposed ordinance. View Anaheim Rent Control Title and Summary
